This is realtime video – the timelapse effect was achieved by accelerating the passage of time in the demo, rather than speeding up the video. The background sky and sunlight are from the Simul Sky library, which is included in the SDK. However, Simul Weather can easily be used with any solution for lighting, background and distance-fades.

This video shows the lightning effects of a Simul thundercloud. All the same features of a regular cloud volume are included, in addition the thundercloud generates lightning bolts that illuminate their surroundings in 3D. Several bolts can be seen at once, each with its own localized light effects.
